Arts in Schools
In a country where people with disabilities are not allowed to become teachers in state schools, “Arts in Schools” gives disabled people the chance to change attitudes through arts education.
Our Arts Team provide weekly art and dance lessons at schools in Kampot. Children gain positive experiences of people with disabilities helping them to become more accepting of others whilst studying arts subjects.
Community Tours and Projects
We encourage people with disabilities and their families to get involved in society and for everyone to be more understanding and accepting of people with disabilities.
The community tours and projects we deliver are one of the most important areas of our work. They change perceptions and encourage discussion and understanding in communities throughout Cambodia.
Inclusive Arts Tour
The Inclusive Arts Tour happens once a year in Cambodia either locally or nationally. Students from the Inclusive Arts Course tour villages, schools, NGO’s and public venues to perform and deliver arts workshops.
The tour raises the profile of our Inclusive Arts Course and aims to reach young people who may be interested in learning about the arts and joining the Inclusive Arts Course in the future.
Inclusive Arts Showcase
The Epic Arts Showcase is an opportunity for people from the local Kampot community to join a free, fun and inclusive event.
The quarterly Epic Arts Showcase presents Dance, Drama and Music performances from staff and students on our programmes, alongside games and arts activities to promote the message that every person counts.
The Epic Arts Showcase is also a platform for other artists in Cambodia, bringing emerging national talent to Kampot.
Research and Networking
We recognize the benefit of sound academic research and strong networking capabilities as a foundation of the work we do.
We endeavor to create partnerships between like-minded organisations, government departments and ministries both nationally and internationally to support our work and make a bigger impact on communities we work with.
