Building a Better Future Together

What's been happening at Epic Arts

Epic Arts stands for peace, we believe Every Person Counts. We are deeply concerned about the recent conflict and tensions between Cambodia and Thailand. We acknowledge the ceasefire announced on December 27th and welcome this important step toward de-escalation. Our hearts remain with everyone affected, especially children, people with disabilities and families and communities who may have experienced fear, disruption or displacement. Everyone deserves safety and dignity.

Cambodia knows the deep and lasting cost of war, and our people have worked hard to rebuild with resilience and hope. Epic Arts exists to support that healing and to ensure people with disabilities are not left behind. Through inclusive education, community outreach and the arts we promote understanding, inclusion and connection.

We urge continued restraint, the protection of civilians and peaceful dialogue grounded in respect and international law.

Peace requires courage. Peace is a choice.

To all our incredible supporters, thank you. Your continued belief in our mission helps us champion a world where every person counts (EPiC).

Inspiring Stories

Celebrating Community, Ability and Belonging

On December 3rd we came together at the Epic Arts Center in Kampot to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities in a way that felt truly meaningful, through art, performance and community.

Epic Arts Dance delivered a powerful performance of Krama, reminding everyone in the room why representation and inclusive arts matter. Watching our dancers perform in their hometown, surrounded by community support, was a beautiful testament to the space we're creating where every person and every story is valued.

The afternoon was enriched by a thoughtful collaboration with Lawrence Shapiro, a talented resident disability artist from Canada, whose presence added depth to our celebration. Between performances, guests enjoyed cookies from Epic Arts Cafe, browsed unique pieces from our Creations Shop and showed their support through donations and encouragement.

These moments remind us that when we commit to inclusive arts and education we transform what our community believes is possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and believed in this work. Your presence made the day special and helps drive everything we do.

Events and Performances

Dancing for The Right to Be Human

Thanks to your generous support, Epic Arts Dance traveled to Laos to represent Cambodia at the Asian Youth Theatre Festival, bringing our message of inclusion to an international stage. Every donation, big or small, made this journey possible, covering essential costs and ensuring our dancers could share their stories and talent on an international stage.

This year's festival theme, The Right to Be Human, resonated deeply with our mission. Through our Buffalo Boy performance we shared Thoeun's powerful story, celebrating the voices of people with disabilities and affirming that inclusion and access are fundamental to what it means to be human.

The experience was unforgettable. Our dancers connected with inspiring artists from across Asia, exchanged creative energy and proved once again that talent knows no boundaries.

Thank you to the Asian Youth Theatre Festival for hosting such a meaningful gathering, and to each of you whose contributions made this opportunity possible. Together we're creating the change we want to see in the world.

Small Changes, Big Impact!

Over 114,000 views and counting. What started as a message for Cambodian school children has become a movement.

Epic Arts recently created a powerful video that's sparking conversations across the country. Our short video shows something we all need to remember: protecting our earth doesn't always mean doing more, sometimes it's just doing things a little differently.

Through movement and storytelling we illustrated how small irresponsible actions can create huge problems, and more importantly, how small responsible actions can fix them.

We're incredibly proud of this work and the conversations it's sparking. When creativity meets purpose, change becomes possible.

The response has been overwhelming, with the video reaching thousands of families across social media. Each view represents someone thinking about their choices, their impact and the difference they can make.

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE!

Because when we all make small changes together, they add up to something BIG. What small change will you make today?

Thank you to Bailie Gifford for making this video possible.

Impact Update

No One Left Behind: Climate Action That Includes Everyone

In Kampot Province, climate change isn't a distant threat, it's happening now. Rising sea levels, floods, storms and droughts are reshaping daily life, and persons with disabilities face heightened vulnerability when disaster strikes.

This month, we hosted a research dissemination event on "Climate Change, Disaster Preparedness, and Disability Inclusion in Kampot Province." Local authorities, community representatives and persons with disabilities gathered to share real experiences and explore solutions for building truly inclusive disaster preparedness.

Our social work team conducted this research with persons with disabilities in Kampot, examining a critical gap: access to climate related information.

These findings are a roadmap for change. By understanding how individuals with disabilities can access and use climate information we can build disaster systems that protect everyone.

Read the full research findings here, in Khmer (pages 1–53) and English (pages 54–106).

When climate action includes everyone, communities become stronger, safer and more resilient together.

Thank you to Felm Cambodia and Finland for supporting the research activities and dissemination event.
