July 2025 Updates

Empowering voices, sparking change!

What's been happening at Epic Arts.

It's been a busy month for us all at Epic Arts. From important meetings with partners to celebrating young people’s talents, July has been full of meaningful moments. Sokny, our CEO, joined British Ambassador Dominic Williams and UK-registered organisations working in Cambodia to strengthen collaboration and support sustainable, inclusive development.

On World Youth Skills Day (July 15th), we celebrated the creativity and resilience of young people with disabilities, empowering them through dance, education and enterprise.

And if you’re in Kampot, don’t miss our weekly Cambodian Sign Language class every Friday, 4-5 pm at Epic Arts Café, a friendly way to connect and promote inclusion.

To all our incredible supporters, thank you. Your continued belief in our mission helps us champion a world where every person counts (EPiC). 🙌

Inspiring Stories

From Summer Break to Social Impact: Meet Sarah

At just 15 years old, Sarah chose to spend her summer making a difference with Epic Arts. Over the last 2 months, she’s been creating TikTok content, supporting our café and dance teams, and bringing creative energy to everything she does.

“Since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be part of Epic Arts in some way.”

Growing up, Sarah saw the impact Epic Arts has on people with disabilities in Cambodia. This summer, she jumped in, planning content, researching trends, filming, editing, posting and encouraging others to get involved.

What Sarah’s Achieved

  • Planned & produced engaging social media videos
  • Boosted team confidence to join in and share ideas
  • Learned to communicate more in Khmer and even picked up basic sign language
  • Improved her skills in editing, interviewing and writing professional emails

“Content creation doesn’t just boost our audience, it shows the humour and personality of our team.”

For Sarah, disability inclusion means:

“Ensuring everyone feels accepted, equal and part of the community… It’s a human right to be welcomed everywhere as a person.”

She believes Epic Arts changes lives by creating opportunities for people with disabilities, giving them careers and challenging stereotypes across Cambodia.

“Epic Arts allows people to prove themselves and be part of a supportive community.”

When she’s not creating content, Sarah loves painting, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and running her small cookie business.

Thank you Sarah for bringing your passion and positivity to Epic Arts, you’ve made a huge difference.

Voices Heard, Futures Bright: Annual Meeting with Children and Youth

Epic Arts recently brought together an inspiring group of 61 participants for our Annual Meeting with children and youth with disability which focuses on listening, learning and growing together.

This important gathering gave young voices a platform to speak up, share their experiences and explore their rights and support systems. We covered crucial topics like child protection and abuse awareness, feedback on inclusive education, social services and ways to improve accessibility and support.

Through interactive sessions and thoughtful assessments, we deepened our understanding and renewed our commitment to providing inclusive, impactful services.

At Epic Arts, every voice matters, and together, we’re making sure every child is seen, heard and valued.
