Inspiring Stories
Reaksa first heard of Epic Arts when a Project Officer representing Epic Arts Inclusive Education Course (IAC) first visited his village to explain the purpose of IAC and see if there were any eligible young people.
Prior to this Reaksa had dropped out of education due to his family’s financial position. He says he felt scared and shy a lot of the time, he would hide himself away from people.
Having cerebral palsy Reaksa felt that people would stare at him, which made him feel uncomfortable.
He studied the our IAC course, graduating in 2023, and is now employed as an Administration Assistant at the Epic Arts Center.
Reaksa now describes himself as being confident and an active member of his community.
He regularly participates in community and religious events. He loves being part of the Epic Arts team and uses his salary to help support his family. Feeling empowered, proud and happy for the first time in his life, he is thankful for the opportunities Epic Arts offered to him. Reaksa feels he is learning new skills regularly which are helping secure a good future for him and his family.
